Safety boats PH 10 has been retubed and fitted with a new Honda 50 hp engine.
PH14 sports a 90HP engine on a 5.8m secondhand RIB. This RIB was added to the fleet in 2025.
We are delighted to announce that thePlas Heli RIBs fleet has now been extended again with the purchase of a new Humber 5.8m RIB.

PH15 will be fitted with one of our new Suzuki engines and will be tasked as a coach boat, for training events such as the fast IQ foils classes, and as a safety boat for Events at the Welsh National Sailing Academy and Event Centre. This Humber RIB is a strong seaworthy RIB and a great addition to our fleet. More about PH 15 here
Mark Thompson, Plas Heli Director, said 'We are delighted to see the upgrades to the Plas Heli RIBs fleet which will help us meet the growing demands for bigger and faster RIBs for training and events at the Welsh National Sailing Academy and Event Centre. PH15 is intended as a fast coach boat, along with other safety duties for events. This sees the start of our rolling programme of upgrades to our RIBs hulls.'
