Camping Pitches

Motorhome, Campervan, Caravan and Camping Pitches at Plas Heli
Plas Heli, the Welsh National Sailing Academy and Events Centre, provides a range of serviced and grass camping pitches designed primarily to support sailing training, coaching camps and major events. These pitches are also available for public booking throughout the year, and we actively encourage visitors to stay with us outside organised activities.
This page provides direct access to our camping pitch booking system. Simply select your pitch type, dates and any extras, and follow the steps to complete your reservation.
Types of Camping Pitches Available
- 🚐 Area M – 17 serviced motorhome pitches on gravel hard standing with water points. Available year‑round for public booking.
- 🚐 Area South – 6 serviced campervan/caravan pitches on gravel hard standing with water points. Available year‑round for public booking.
- 🔌 Area QS (Quayside) – 16 serviced pitches with electricity hook‑ups on gravel hard standing. Primarily used during events and busy periods.
- ⛺ Tent Areas (East, South, West) – Grass tent pitches within the main compound. Available year‑round for public booking.
- ⛺ Y Dwnan (Dunes) – Additional tent pitches with electricity via long leads. Available only during events.
Total capacity: up to 60 pitches during major events.
Camping pitches are in high demand during events, so early booking is recommended. Pitches are allocated on a first‑come basis.
All pitch costs are shown clearly in the booking form as you select your dates, pitch type and any extras.
All pitches are conveniently located for the Academy facilities, including the Restaurant, Café and Bar on the first floor with spectacular sea views. Showers and toilets are available day and night throughout the year, with different access arrangements in place during events. Further information about our facilities is available here.
To begin your booking, select your dates (on a mobile phone rotate to landscape), scroll down to choose your pitch type, add any extras, then complete your details and payment using our secure system. We use PayPal to receive payments, but you can pay with your bank card.
Important: After completing payment, please wait until PayPal automatically redirects you back to our website. Closing the page early may prevent the confirmation email from being sent.

Facilities
General
Plas Heli is the Welsh National Sailing Academy and Events Centre located in Pwllheli, North Wales. This is the centre of choice for major sailing events and championships. The facilities offer an ideal base to explore the glorious Llyn Peninsula and is within walking distance of the town.

Sailing, Boating, Events, Golf and Walking. All within easy walking distance of the town.
Pwllheli, a historic Market and Seaside town, is within walking distance of the facility and features a weekly Wednesday market, golf course and leisure centre.
Pwllheli is a base for exploring the Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty on the Peninsula, Snowdonia National Park and, of course, the spectacular castles.
Pwllheli, the Llŷn Peninsula and Cardigan Bay enjoys its own microclimate, thanks to the influence of the Gulf Stream, resulting in milder weather, and warmer sea temperatures.
The sailing waters around Plas Heli and Pwllheli, are renowned, as world-class waters and chosen as the sailing venue for the Manchester Olympic bids

Electric hook-ups for caravans, motothome, campervan and tents pitches, and a further un-serviced pitches. Restaurant, Café and Bar in the Plas Heli Centre with spectacular sea views with the mountains of Yr Eryri (Snowdonia) in the distance.
