Partneriaeth Awyr Agored Gwynedd

In 2003 it became clear that the people in North West Wales had limited access to outdoor activities in the magnificent countryside where they lived. As a result, opportunities for healthy lifestyles, securing employment and self-fulfilment were being missed.
Following several consultations with the private, public and voluntary sectors involved in the outdoors, a working group of representatives was established and a 3 year strategy was produced.
In April 2005, the North West Wales Outdoor Partnership was formally constituted and thanks to funding from the Welsh Assembly Government through the Sports Council Wales, 4 key members of staff were appointed in October 2005. Over the autumn period, we have begun to turn the vision of the strategy into practical reality.
