On behalf of the Directors of Plas Heli Cyf I welcome you to the Plas Heli Web site.

Plas Heli Cyf is the operating company for the Welsh National Sailing Academy and Events Centre in Pwllheli. 

Through this web site we aim to provide information about the various aspects and work streams of the Academy and Event Centre. 

The new facility will be located on the site adjacent to the Hafan (Pwllheli Marina) and Clwb Hwylio Pwllheli Sailing Club. 

The new iconic building will overlook the Marina to the west and Abererch beach to the east and the restaurant cafe/bar on the first floor with large open balcony will enjoy spectacular views over the bay and will encompass the mountains of Snowdonia and the mountains of mid Wales in the distance. The building will be completed for the 2015 season.

The Marine parts of the project will be completed for the 2014 season and will include a substantial dredging operation of the existing Marina and channel, the creation of a new berthing pontoon area for visitor and events yachts with a quay wall and pillar cranes. This new pontoon layout will be ideal for a Boat Show, as a destination for a flotilla cruise and for large keel boat Regattas and Championships. 

The £8.3 M project is part funded by the European Regional Development Fund through the Welsh Government.
