Global Women’s Walk 2025 at Traeth Pwllheli

• In support of Women in Marineand to celebrate International Women in Maritime Day, we are excited to announce a special event for all — the Global Women’s Walk 2025at Plas Heli LL53 5YT hosted by RYA CW. I will lead the walk. This event is designed to celebrate women’s achievements in the maritime industry and raise awareness for gender equality, literacy, and learning. As part of our commitment to protect our waters through the Clean Water Sports Alliance we also plan to have a litter pick.
• Join me for a relaxed 5km walkalong Traeth Pwllheli, surrounded by the beauty of the marina and coastal landscape. This event is open to all gendersand welcomes participants of all fitness levels. This walk is not just an opportunity to get outdoors, but to also show support for women in marine and help create a lasting impact on global literacy and gender equality initiatives.

• Raise Awareness:Show your support for women in maritime and the efforts to promote gender equality within the industry.
• Make a Difference:By participating, you’ll have the opportunity to extend your network and impact and you may also want to make a donation to Room to Read, a non-profit organisation dedicated to improving literacy and gender equality in education around the world.
• A Relaxed & Scenic Walk:Enjoy a leisurely 5km walk, perfect for meeting like-minded people, being part of a community movement, and taking in the views of the Llyn Peninsula whilst taking a few litter pickers long the way. We will meet and walk from the entrance to the Plas Heli building and return to our starting point. 

Event Details:

• Parking: Please park in the car park at Plas Heli.
• Registration:Please arrive by 45 am for check-in. The walk will begin promptly at 11:00. 
• Distance:5km, relaxed pace 
• Open to all genders
• Join me for a relaxing cool drink or coffee at Plas Heli after the walk. 

Together, let’s celebrate the achievements of women in marine, raise awareness for gender equality, and support a brighter future through education.
