Learn to Sail Weekend

Learn to Sail Level 1 Dinghy Accreditation

During the weekend we will introduce you to the fundamentals and take you through the necessary training to enable you to be confident out on the water. Our friendly qualified RYA Instructors will be with you every step of the way, offering clear instruction, guidance and encouragement to make this a truly unforgettable weekend where you can also gain RYA Dinghy Level 1 accreditation.

We have a really positive partnership with Pwllheli Sailing Club, so that when you are ready we can help you to develop and continue your sailing journey with local clubs.

No previous experience whatsoever is required. Minimum age 14+.

Cost £200 for 2 day course.

** On the production of a council tax bill for an LL53 postcode, a 10% discount will be provided.

Sailing Taster Days

Never tried sailing before? Had a go years ago but want to see what you can remember? Want to give it a try before committing to a course? Need a gift for a family member?

These one day tasters are a fantastic introduction to the fundamentals of sailing, including sailing up, down and across the wind, turning the boat and what to do in the event of a capsize as well as Rigging, launching, landing, sailing in all directions, capsize recovery, safety information and basic sailing theory.

The tasters are run for mixed ages, with adults and children on the same course. (min age 8+)

We can also help you to progress your sailing further through helping you to join your local sailing club and consolidate what you have learnt.

No previous experience whatsoever is required.

These dates can be flexible, please inquire for dates and times.

Amendment or cancellation of this booking can only be made in writing or by email (not by telephone), which will be acknowledged in writing or by email as received by Plas Heli. If amendment or cancellation is made within two weeks of the arrival date up 100% of the fees may be charged. The person booking must ensure that he/ she has read and fully understands the Plas Heli Rules and Regulations which will be adhered to at all times.
